When I think back of meeting Brittany and Jorge last February for coffee to discuss their wedding I remember how sweet and loving they both were to each other and knew their wedding day would overflow with that same love and make for a heartfelt day. And that it did. My time with Jorge was brief because with his position as an athletic trainer for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team he would be traveling quite a bit so all of my planning would be with Brittany. And although their wedding day would be a small intimate gathering of their closest family and friends their personalities were larger than life and from start to finish the entire day was filled with love, laughter and most definitely a Happily Ever After.
We always love when photographers get those detail shots that add so much to the overall feel of the wedding day, how about those shoes!
Jorge’s friend Doug was not only his best man but his officiant as well. I love seeing the connection that they had with one another as Jorge prepared to see Brittany for the first time while she was in another room putting her dress on.
Their bridal party all took part in their first look before the ceremony and even went as far as blindfolding Jorge so he would not peek at Brittany.
Their little flower girl and ring bearers were just as cute as ever leading the way for Brittany and her father to head down the aisle as Jorge lovingly looked on. The ceremony itself was so heartfelt and beautiful and the vows they read to each other were so sweet that they made me laugh, smile and cry throughout.
The day was a bit chilly but they had a great time taking photos downtown and fun sock pictures never gets old to us.
Once the ceremony was over guests found their way to their seats at farm tables set with monogrammed burlap runners, eucalyptus garland, soft candle light and napkins adorned with personalized bottle openers as a thank you gift from the bride and groom. Brittany and Jorge joined their guests and after their first dance together the buffet opened followed by the toasts and cake cutting.
The dancing never stopped but when it did downtown Raleigh made the perfect backdrop for their sparkler exit.
