Clarissa emailed me 3 months before her wedding realizing it may be a good idea to hire a Day Of Coordinator for her June 6th wedding at Iron Horse Events in Cedar Grove. After chatting about all of the moving parts that go into planning a wedding at an all outdoor venue, I’m so glad she saw the need for this as well while sipping coffee together at a local Starbucks. Next thing you know, we were meeting at the BEAUTIFUL home located on the property (Shannon and Matt, can I move in?) for our one month walk through. It was a cozy rainy day outside while we were snug inside going over all the little details that would make up her and Matt’s dream wedding. Being in a gorgeous farm/industrial style home while talking about weddings WHILE it’s raining outside is basically my definition of a perfect day. After saying our goodbyes, a few short weeks went by and before you knew it their wedding weekend was here! It was a warm sunny day, but with no humidity, which is a major plus for a June wedding in North Carolina. Upon arrival, Matt (the groom) and his buddies were helping set up tables under the tent. Oh bless them for this help! As much as I wish he was doing some relaxing before he said his “I dos”, I am forever grateful for his brute strength! After hours of set up and vendor arrivals, things were coming along quite nicely! I got the chance to go into the house right before the wedding and see Clarissa take some photos with her bridesmaids, that was very special to be a part of; and as you can see, they all look lovely!
Then it was time for the processional to begin. Matt entered with a sombrero because the groom should get a little attention, too 😉 It’s still a mystery to me as to why he choose to do so, as I had no clue he was planning on this until I saw him entering stage left! I laughed and so did the guests. It was a nice unexpected element.
Then the woman everyone was waiting for, Clarissa, escorted by her dad! Look how happy she is to see Matt waiting for her.
After Clarissa got into place at the altar, the ceremony was a short and sweet 10 minute ordeal and then they were Mr. and Mrs. Bartolac!
The rest of the evening consisted of dining under a tent and dancing under the trees and market lights! Also, take a look at these delicious cupcakes and custom cupcake stand made by none other than the groom himself!
Now that’s the way to do a sparkler exit, a dip and all! Congrats you two! It was a pleasure helping you with your wedding day. Also THANK YOU for your service to this country of ours!
