Erica and Andrew // June 26, 2016 // The Carolina Inn

When I first met Erica and Andrew at a coffee shop in Chapel Hill back in July of 2015 I was immediately drawn to her bubbly personality, their genuine love for one another and that smile of hers. From that day forward whenever I saw her that smile was always on her face and let me tell you it was contagious! As we chatted over coffee that first day they not only shared with me how they met and fell in love but about their adventures in traveling and how they wanted to incorporate that into their wedding day. Erica even described her color pallet in terms of a road map with pale pinks, greens and blues being used in their “antique travel” theme. I knew all the details were going to be fabulous and bringing elements in through a passion they both share is what truly made their love story evident that day. Details such as the suitcases displayed at their sweetheart table, a world map they displayed for guests to sign and favors that looked like postmarked packages with compasses on them. Each guest table represented a place they had traveled and the centerpiece consisted of a map as well as various things related to that city and guests had the best time going table by table checking out each destination they chose to share with them. They incorporated their Jewish heritage at the ceremony with the seven circles, a beautifully adorned chuppah where they stood and their Ketubah which was signed prior to the ceremony at the Old Well with their immediate family and bridal party taking part. The weather did not disappoint that day and that Carolina blue sky we all know and love made the perfect backdrop for their courtyard wedding. After the toasts and cake cutting the dance floor opened and guests never stopped dancing until the very last song played and the glow sticks they provided were a huge hit with everyone. After a late night treat of ice cream sundaes friends and family gathered out front for a bubble exit and I just love the way that photographed. I loved getting to know both Erica and Andrew as well as their family and friends and being invited into their love story was truly an honor. XO Lynn
